You know even though I am now in the over thirty age category, I don't always feel my age. However, when I can remember being at family functions and seeing little kids running around and now being asked to shoot these same kids high school senior session, I have to admit I start to feel my age just a bit! Still, I was more than happy to get a call from my cousin asking me to shoot her son's high school senior session. We had a good time early last Saturday morning catching up and shooting photos! Here are just a few from this session! Enjoy!
I think I've mentioned before that my professional formal training in photography first started with high school senior portraits almost 13 years ago to the day. At that time I was fresh out of high school myself but was ready for the challenge of learning how to shoot portraits professionally. That first senior season, I don't even know how many seniors I shot that summer but what I do remember was enjoying going to work every day! Thirteen years later, I still find myself enjoying going to work and shooting portraits. What an amazing job I have!! What helps me enjoy my job more is all the great people I get to meet with this profession. This particular senior was awesome to work with! Though she mentioned to me that it was weird to smile that much, you could have never guessed she felt that way by looking at the pictures. She just has one of those beautiful natural smiles that photographs so well! Not to mention those eyes of hers are gorgeous!! She definitely made my job very easy to do. I had lots of fun strolling through the park shooting and chatting with her and her mom....two awesome people that I very much enjoyed meeting! I had a lot of favorites from this session but here are just a few! Enjoy!
I know with everyone's busy lives between family and work it is not always easy to find the time to get together with family to update that family portrait. However, thanks to our holidays throughout the year, they help remind us to get together every so often for pictures....since pictures always make a great gift for any holiday or occasion! Well what better way to tell Mom you love her, than to surprise her with an updated portrait with you and your siblings? For this Mother's Day Gift Session, this sister and brother were great to work with and were lots of fun! While shooting, it helped remind me how much I appreciate my big sister and that though we are both adults with busy lives how much fun we still have together! Thanks you two for a great session! Here are just a few of my favorite shots to check out!
Last Sunday was the kind of day I love to have! Great weather, beautiful scenery, fantastic and cool couple + 3 cute little doggies, and me shooting pictures of all of these together! FUN! FUN! FUN! Seriously though, I can't say enough how much I enjoy shooting couples who are up for an adventure and these two wonderful people were definitely up for some adventures....from stopping in a small town with a population of 30 to "bird-ducks" flying overhead during our session....we had some fun. Here are some of the images I captured of this beautiful couple. Enjoy!
I can't say enough how much I enjoy living in the area we live in! We are so lucky to have a visual change in our surroundings when the seasons change and spring is definitely noticed around here. I was very pleased with the beautiful magnolias we were able to use with this gorgeous couple during their maternity session. The beauty from both the couple and their surroundings definitely complemented one another. Not to mention this couple was a joy to work with! Congratulations to you both on your upcoming arrival! Here are a few of my favorite shots, enjoy!
I was so lucky to have the priviledge to shoot some portraits of this family's three little girls. Its amazing to see the bond between sisters at such a young age! I could already see how much these two big sisters love their new baby sister. I thank all of them for inviting me into their home and allowing me to capture these precious moments with their new addition to their family. Here are some of my top pics! Enjoy!!
