I was so happy to do this senior session. It was a beautiful day...sunny skies, billowy clouds, and just the right amount of breeze to get this gal's gorgeous long brown locks blowing in the wind in some of her shots! I really enjoy all areas of portrait and event photography but I would have to say that senior portraits is sorta like going home to me. Doing senior portraits is where I started my career in photography some 15 years ago. Wow, that makes me feel really old thinking that!
Seriously though, thanks to this lovely senior and her dad for spending the morning with me. Both of you were fun to hang out and chat with! Lots of favorite shots from your session but here are just a few to preview!! Enjoy!
I totally enjoyed this senior session!! Even though the days are getting warmer by the minute, we decided on an awesome location with lots of shade and early enough to beat the heat! We even got a nice breeze going a few times which made a great natural fan to blow this senior's gorgeous brown locks! I also had a lot of fun chatting with this senior about the theater (mainly our shared appreciation for the theatrical production of Beauty and the Beast), photography, and what her plans for the future are! It was great spending time with this impressive senior and her wonderful and supportive family! Congratulations on your graduation! I have MANY favorites from our session but here are a few to enjoy!! Hugs~
Seriously, living near the foothills is super awesome for a photographer! There are little hidden photo gems all over the hillside. Plus I felt super lucky to have a nice overcast day to give me the natural softbox lighting effects! I am so glad this high school senior and his mom were up for a little scenic drive with me cause the area that we found to shoot was totally worth it! I had a great time hanging out and chatting with you guys! Thanks and congratulations on your upcoming graduation!!!
As I mentioned in the earlier post, as a photographer you are invited into people's lives and asked to capture treasured moments. To me this is an awesome part of the job! I was thrilled when I was asked to take this family's pictures this fall because I have already been lucky enough to photograph one of these teens for her senior pictures this past spring! Well I had a blast photographing her again as well as her sister and cousin this past week! And as an added bonus they mentioned to me that day that they hadn't taken pictures together since they were in diapers....well maybe not that long ago but it had been quite a while! So I was glad to help get some pictures of these cousins that were definitely due! Here are just a few of the many great shots we got that day for you to enjoy! We had to get silly for some of these. Thanks guys for agreeing to my silly ideas for shots!
I think I've mentioned before that living in this area is pretty darn cool because we are so close to the beautiful mountains. We are also lucky to have our gorgeous rivers so close by too! This senior session was originally planned for another location but I was glad that we changed it to The Island (no, not the waterpark). This particular area is a great place to live! Almost all of the homes have a great view of the mountains and some homes even have an awesome stream that is fed from the river in their backyards! Like I said, we were orginally going to shoot at another location but luckily this senior's grandmother hooked us up with her neighborhood for a great shooting location! We got some beautiful shots of this senior with great landscapes! Here are just a few! Here we got a great shot with the wind blowing her hair!
