Spring is in the air and I can already hear The Pomp and Circumstance

So I did a mini-photo shoot for my big sis who earned her Masters Degree this last fall and who we finally convinced to participate in the Masters Hooding Ceremony. Congrats Sis, we are all proud of ya!

Finding Beauty in Random Places

So last weekend besides celebrating Easter, I had a senior photo shoot. Loved! Loved! Loved!!! When I first started out in the business, this is where I started....shooting senior portraits. We shot a senior about every 15 minutes from 8am to 5 pm each day, all summer long, so it's safe to say I got a lot of experience shooting senior portraits fast that summer. Anyway, I've known this young lady since before I was her age because I'm long time friends with her aunt. Gosh, I feel old. Well we cruised around Sanger and even went up the 180 to shoot and had lots of fun shooting the wild flowers. Here are my favs.

Lovin' those early morning shots!

So I wish most people were morning people (I guess because thats what I am). Since my experience at the studio I first worked for, I learned that early morning shoots always get the best kind of light. It has always been the time I love shooting the most! Well had a family portrait session last weekend where the family was happy shooting early and I was very pleased with the areas they suggested for their family pics! These are a few of my favs from this shoot. Beautiful shots of such a beautiful family!

Out Cruisin'

The little guy and I went out for a photo cruisin' playdate the other day with our pals Rosie and Christian. One of the pleasures of living in an agricultural community is getting a closeup view of the changing seasons. I love blossom time though it's so short lived....only really lasts a couple of weeks before they start to fall and turn green. So why not take the opportunity to capture the short lived moments on film, right?

New Shoes

So I typically don't do "shoe shots" during weddings since the bride usually has them on already but at last weekend's wedding I thought I would take advantage that the bride hadn't put them on yet. Not to mention I loved the ambient light that was shining through her dressing room window. So new bridal shoes + natural light = Beautiful Shot!
