Great Morning with the hosts of Great Day

This morning was definitely an early morning for me but a fun one that is out of the ordinary. A couple of weeks ago, I got an offer from a friend of mine who is on a local television station to help out with a segment on school pictures and senior portraits and I was thrilled to do it! Anyway, after some emails exchanging info back and forth with her about some tips that I wanted to offer their audience, she gave me a date and time to be at the station. Back to this morning, got up at 5 am, showered, dressed (and changed several times), and drove to the station. I was greeted and sat in the green room (which is actually all green!)and then was escorted to the news desk and interviewed. I was on for two segments and the first was tips for parents on elementary and middle school portraits. The second segment was on senior portraits. It was great, even though second segment was interrupted by breaking news conference from George Bush but it was all good! I guess George Bush would take precedence over my advice for senior pictures, right? Anyway, had lots of fun and wanted to personally thank Liz and Kopi for making me feel at home on their Great Day set!

Happy 30th Debra and Kevin!!

Had a great time this weekend celebrating the big 3-0! Had some great food, great family and friends, and some karaoke....it was lots of fun! Everyone asks if I feel older now that I am 30. But when I think about it, not everything has changed since I was kid. I can still turn on the radio and hear New Kids on the Block's latest song and watch new episodes of Beverly Hills 90210....so all is great at the age of 30!
Here I am:

Here is Kevin when he was a kid....what a cutie!

This was our awesome birthday cake we had for our party. It was created from the talented Caroline from Caroline's Creations. I love that she incorporated film strips for my part of the cake and tools for Kevin!
